This senior-level role is responsible for the stability, availability, security, and performance of critical z/OS environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain z/OS and related system softwareExecute upgrades, migrations, and maintenance using SMP/EInstall and support IBM and third-party/ISV software productsMonitor system performance, capacity, availability, and platform healthDiagnose complex incidents using dumps, traces, logs, and vendor toolsSupport Parallel Sysplex, disaster recovery, resiliency, and system recoveryDevelop automation to improve reliability and reduce manual effortCoordinate maintenance activities, change controls, testing, and validationPartner with IBM, vendors, cybersecurity, architecture, storage, network, and application teamsCreate technical documentation, procedures, standards, and operational runbooksProvide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and participate in after-hours support when requiredRequired QualificationsExtensive hands-on z/OS systems programming experienceStrong expertise with SMP/E, z/OS upgrades, migrations, and software maintenanceExperience supporting Parallel Sysplex and highly available production environmentsAdvanced troubleshooting using system dumps, traces, logs, and diagnostic utilitiesKnowledge of IBM and ISV software installation and maintenanceExperience with performance monitoring, capacity planning, automation, and disaster recoveryStrong understanding of change management and production-support practicesBanking, financial services, or another regulated-industry background preferredApplicant NoticeDirect applicants only.
