Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job Title: Continuous Improvement EngineerLocation: Burlington, WAPosition Type: Fulltime Permanent Role Summary of PositionThe Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost performance. This role uses data analysis and structured methodologies to drive sustainable improvements across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste Facilitate root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Drive projects to improve KPIs such as cycle time, yield, scrap, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, supply chain) Standardize processes and ensure documentation is updated (SOPs, work instructions) Train employees on continuous improvement tools and methodologies Support audits and compliance initiatives Monitor and report on improvement project results Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) Experience with ERP or MES Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Project management experience
