Accounts Payable SpecialistSonoma County, CA | Full-Time About UsWe are a well-established company in the food and beverage industry with a strong operational foundation and a collaborative finance team. As our business continues to grow, we are adding an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting operations and vendor relationships. Position OverviewThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing company disbursements and ensuring vendors and suppliers are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies. This role also provides support for general accounting functions and works closely with the Controller and broader finance team. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization and coding in coordination with cost center managers Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues promptly Manage weekly disbursements, including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers Prepare annual 1099 filings and maintain vendor records for compliance Process employee travel and expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy Maintain payment schedules for recurring obligations Support fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation calculations Prepare ad hoc financial and cost center reports as requested Assist with related-party transactions and journal entries QualificationsMinimum 2 years of accounting experience ERP system experience required; proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with SharePoint a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor Organized and proactive with the ability to manage shifting priorities Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed Compensation & BenefitsBase salary in the $60-65K range DOE Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off and holidays Collaborative and supportive work environment
