Accounting Specialist

Accounting SpecialistAaction Rents is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is ready to grow in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time while working closely with our Controller and supporting key accounting functions across the department. What You'll Be DoingProcess accounts payable and ensure timely, accurate entry of vendor invoices Assist with accounts receivable functions as needed for cross-coverage and support Support general ledger activity, including reconciliations and data accuracy Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Support payroll and benefit-related accounting entries Process DMV-related transactions, including registration, renewals, and recordkeeping Help maintain organized and accurate financial and administrative records Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls What We're Looking ForExperience in accounts payable and/or general accounting Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Comfortable working in accounting systems and Excel High level of attention to detail and organization Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and support different areas of accounting Experience with DMV processing or similar administrative functions is a plus Why This Role?Opportunity to grow and take on additional responsibility over time Exposure to multiple areas of accounting in a dynamic, multi-location business Work closely with the Controller and accounting team Stable, locally owned company with a strong team culture CompensationCompetitive, based on experience $28$33/hour (depending on experience) Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more About Aaction RentsWe're a locally owned equipment rental company serving the North Bay, built on a reputation for quality service and a strong team.
