Warehouse Manager
Job Summary
Northeast-based Logistics/Transportation company has an immediate opening for a highly skilled, motivated, and hands on Warehouse Manager to direct and lead the warehouse operations in Trucking and Final Mile Home Delivery.
This position is reponsible for overseeing, leading and directing all daily warehouse performance standards for all operations, coming up with solutions and developing and implementing senior management's strategic initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven managerial and supervisory skills and a track record of working alongside strategic partners. Our ideal candidtate will have the ability to both execute on the comapny's senoir management's strategy while ensuring that the organization is constantly improving.
Key Responsibilities
Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Supply Chain Logistics or Transportion experience.
5-10 years of Management and Supervisory experience in supply chain logistics operations, paired with strong business acumen and proven track record of coaching and building high performance operational teams.
Strong analytical skill set with experience in using data to drive decisions.
Excellent communtication, presentation and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-pased high growth and rapidly changing environment.
Knowledge and understanding of P&Ls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
