About the Role We are seeking an experienced Gerber Automated Cutting Machine Operator to operate Gerber computerized fabric cutting systems for upholstery furniture production. The role focuses on accurate cutting of upholstery fabrics and materials according to Gerber markers and production requirements, while maintaining quality, efficiency, and material utilization standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Gerber automated cutting machines Load, spread, and align upholstery fabrics, leather, or synthetic materials on the cutting table Load, verify, and run Gerber markers and cutting programs Ensure correct fabric orientation, grain direction, nap, and pattern matching Monitor cutting quality and accuracy throughout production runs Inspect cut pieces for defects, size accuracy, and completeness Optimize material utilization and reduce fabric waste Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and basic troubleshooting Record production output and report machine or material issues Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cutting area Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience operating Gerber automated cutting machines Knowledge of upholstery fabrics, leather, and synthetic materials Ability to read Gerber markers, cutting layouts, and work orders Strong attention to detail and quality standards Understanding of safety procedures related to automated cutting equipment Experience in upholstery or soft furniture manufacturing Familiarity with Gerber AccuMark or similar CAD/marker software Knowledge of fabric grain, stretch, nap, and pattern alignment Ability to perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Ability to handle fabric rolls up to 75 pounds  Comfortable working in a production environment Work Schedule Monday thru Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overtime occasionally Benefits 401(k) with company matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Stable, long-standing family-owned company Supportive and collaborative team culture
