Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.Job Family DescriptionMaintenance/production personnel support the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, buildings, systems, and shops. Professionals in these roles are responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and production processes to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.Discipline DescriptionMaintenance support personnel provide assistance and coordination for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Maintenance support personnel may perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including inspection and repair, manage inventory, and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards. Maintenance support personnel may perform routine calibrations of equipment and instruments to support facility operations and monitoring. They may perform shop fabrication and machining of equipment to support facility operations.Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:The Maintenance Support Specialist will serve as a specialist for the Pit Production Operations and Programs (PPOP) Maintenance organization. Duties and responsibilities include the following: - Provide advance support for balance of plant and process equipment through the development, implementation and administrative control of maintenance programs, policies, and objectives. - Interface with line and senior management, facility operations, technical support, and support functions to facilitate and verify that maintenance activities are performed within technical specifications, manufacturer's requirements or generally accepted industry practices.- Develop and implement technical work documents to support Preventive and Corrective maintenance tasks for machining, manufacturing, and balance of plant equipment to support the PPOP organization. - Serve as the maintenance and reliability expert for the machining and manufacturing equipment supporting the PPOP facilities.Required Qualifications* Associate's degree in relevant field plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least 1.5 years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role, OR High school diploma plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least three years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role * Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be consideredWe'd Also Like to See* Experience with machining equipment design and repair* Experience with PLC, VFD and Drive systems * Technical associates degree* Experience in complex industrial or nuclear industry * Understanding of applicable environmental laws and regulations, DOE orders, SRS policies* Industrial HVAC or electrical experienceCareer BandTechnical SupportCareer Band Description* Roles in this band contribute to the business processes to achieve results by providing support of a technical nature to others who use the resulting information, materials, and/or analysis.* Performs technical work, often in support of professional roles* Typically requires vocational training or the equivalent experience* Performs duties according to established proceduresCareer Level DescriptionRequires full proficiency gained through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a range of tasks; identifies key issues and patterns from conflicting data; completes work with limited degree of supervision, and may act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.Security Clearance InformationSRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
