Production Maintenance Supervisor
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production facility, ensuring the production of high-quality products while meeting safety and efficiency standards.
Food Safety: Protection of the food supply from microbial, chemical, and physical hazards or contamination that may occur during all stages of food production and handling. The goal of food safety monitoring is to keep food wholesome (i.e. safe to eat).
Food Quality: The quality characteristics of food that is acceptable to consumers. This includes external factors of appearance (size, shape, color, gloss, and consistency), texture, and flavor. Factors may include federal egg grade standards, customer requirements, or internal quality standards.
Starting pay is $25.00 an hour but is subject to change based on experience.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to get along with fellow workers and provide help if needed.
Able to communicate effectively with upper management on issues.
Able to communicate issues to Barn Lead issues in the barns,
Have experience in maintenance.
Able to direct maintenance teams
Ability to teach people maintenance.
Foresight to planning larger maintenance projects.
Part inventory control as well as able to order parts.
Be trained on handling, SDS, and understand the difference between food-grade/non-food grade and processing aids vs. other chemicals.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of equipment specific to chicken barn operations, including feeders, waterers, heaters, ventilation systems, lighting systems, and conveyor belt systems.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of issues, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected failures.
Inspect conveyor belt systems regularly to ensure proper alignment, tension, and functionality.
Clean conveyor belts and related components to prevent buildup of debris and contaminants that could compromise efficiency or pose health hazards.
Lubricate moving parts and bearings to reduce friction and prevent premature wear.
Replace worn or damaged conveyor belt components, such as rollers, belts, and pulleys, to maintain smooth operation and prevent breakdowns.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
