Maintenance Technician - 1st shift

Job Description Position OverviewThe Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure optimal uptime and operational efficiency. This role supports mechanical and electrical systems and plays a key role in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems)Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs or component replacements to minimize downtimeExecute preventive maintenance (PM) programs, work orders, and routine inspectionsSupport equipment installation, relocation, and upgradesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsMaintain inventory of parts and coordinate reordering as neededEnsure compliance with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresMaintain clean, organized work areas and properly functioning toolsCommunicate equipment issues and improvement opportunities to leadershipSupport training and onboarding of new maintenance team membersParticipate in continuous improvement and reliability initiativesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of:Electrical systems (single & three-phase motors)Hydraulics and pneumaticsMechanical systems and general equipment repairAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documentationBasic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); CMMS experience is a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment
