Nurse Educator – RN (Days) | DSP/Staff Training | I/DD exp pref'dPlainview, NYFull-Time: 35 hours, flex (evenings & weekends included)Salary: $85K - $95K/yrAHRC Nassau, one of Long Island's largest providers of quality services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, is seeking a personable, articulate, and engaging full-time Nurse Educator. Our Nurse Educator will create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every individual feels valued.This unique opportunity involves educating staff on a variety of medical and health-related topics, including but not limited to: CPR, AMAP and AMAP Recertification, Infection Control, First Aid & Seizure Management, Bloodborne Pathogens, PPD, OPWDD Diabetes Care, Tube Feeding, and Colostomy Care.In addition, you will:Facilitate training supports utilizing a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.Train & certify AMAP students.Ensure all program staff receive adequate medical training, as needed, and based upon internal and QA audit outcomes.Train staff on Diabetes education, Tube Feeding, and Colostomy Bag training in compliance with OPWDD.Administer and read Mantoux (PPD) testing.Assist in the development of new and updated curricula and procedures determined by AHRC Nassau, Citizens Options Unlimited, Inc., and OPWDD regulations.Conduct on-site, program-specific, field-based training as needed.Work evenings and/or weekends as needed; travel to program locations as needed to facilitate onsite training.We offer you:Generous Paid Time OffCompetitive PayLow Cost & Comprehensive Benefits Package403B Retirement PlanTuition Reimbursement AssistanceWellness Incentives & Gym ReimbursementOpportunities for career advancement with mentoring from managementEmployee Discounts with local eateries, furniture stores, cell phone plans, and more!We require:NYS Registered Nurse LicensureValid NYS Driver's LicenseStrong public speaking abilities/experienceSupervisory experience managing RN trainersExperience working in the field of Intellectual Disability/Development Disability preferredTeaching experience strongly preferredProficiency in utilizing all MS Office Suite applications and virtual platforms i.e., Teams, ZoomCertified CPR Instructor, a plusNurse Educator, for immediate consideration, please apply now!AHRC Nassau is an Equal Opportunity Employer Proud of Our Workforce Diversity.
