Bridge and Heavy Highway Crew Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bridge and Heavy Highway Crew Foreman to join our team in the bridge and highway construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading a bridge and highway crew, highway construction practices, and reading blueprints. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The crew foreman will be responsible for supervising laborers, executing tasks on construction sites, and ensuring quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Execute carpentry tasks with precision. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. Engage in concrete forming and rebar installation as required. Assist in excavation, drainage, and other maintenance person tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and physical labor on-site. Assist the superintendent with ensuring compliance with environmental regulations on site. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Experience in supervisory roles is highly desired. Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus bridge and highway. Familiarity with INDOT work practices is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with various construction techniques including concrete forming, rebar installation, drainage pipe installation, and excavation. Strong ability to work independently and lead a team on diverse projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
