The Controller leads the site’s accounting function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong internal control structure and ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting for the site operations. Areas of responsibility include accounting operations, location consolidations, tax and treasury support, budgeting and forecasting, cost and inventory accounting, billing, internal reporting, analytical decision support, cash flow management, audit coordination, compliance, and continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and operational performance.Responsibilities• Serve as a strong leader and mentor for the accounting organization, providing support across the operating location and developing a high-performing team capable of supporting growth and change.• Establish, refine, monitor, and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, systems, and procedures that safeguard assets, protect information, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, audit, and lender requirements.• Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements.• Prepare monthly financial statements and analytical reports, including variance analysis, KPI reporting, and timely business insights for senior leadership.• Lead the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, providing analysis of actual performance relative to plan and supporting profitable, data-driven decision making.• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, credit, fixed assets, lease accounting, and related shared services activities.• Provide support for treasury and cash management activities, including forecasting cash receipts, disbursements, balances, borrowings, debt obligations, and capital management.• Develop and maintain robust cost accounting, inventory reporting, and productivity measurement processes; provide actual cost inputs to pricing decisions and support margin improvement initiatives.• Manage the authorization, tracking, and post-investment review of capital expenditures, including measurement of returns against expectations.• Serve as the liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties, coordinating information flow for audits, tax return preparation, and other compliance matters with the Corporate Director of Accounting• Partner closely with IT and operational leaders to improve reporting capabilities, support system upgrades or implementations, and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.• Support the CFO and senior leadership with ad hoc financial analysis, board and quarterly review materials, and other strategic initiatives.Requirements• BS or BA in Accounting or Finance with heavy accounting emphasis, CPA desired.• 8+ years in financial leadership/management roles with progressing responsibility• Experience in a production/job shop environment (or similar).• Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically Word, Outlook, Teams, BI, and a heavy focus on Excel.• Experience with private equity-backed portfolio companies will be an advantage.• Intellectually curious and a strong desire to understand business operations and the industry the Company operates in• Able to operate in a dynamic environment with an ability to lead with clarity and vision for the future under the direction of the Enterprise CFO and Site Leadership• Service minded approach to work; interested in collaborating closely with various business leaders to drive initiatives• Professionalism: Strong time management skills and delivers on commitments.
