Senior Accounting Manager

We are on the search for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join one of our clients in the retail industry. This position will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory valuation, reconciliation of schedules, month-end close, general Ledger accounting responsibilities, consolidation, lease accounting, fixed assets, cash forecast and providing accurate and timely financial information for decision-making purposes. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary 100,000 to $125,000 per year. Job Description: Perform timely month-end and quarter-end close activities for multiple entities. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports. Maintain varied accounting schedules to include prepaid and fixed assets schedules. Assist in the monthly, quarterly, annual budgeting and forecasting activities as required. Manage end-to-end inventory processes to include accurate inventory valuation and reporting. Analysis and reconciliation of cost of goods sold, inventory general ledger and inventory system Perform key control activities relating to inventory management including inventory write down/adjustments, provisions, variance analysis, preparation of inventory schedules. Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting operations to include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, general ledger maintenance and consolidation of accounting entities. Prepare and maintain the cash forecast schedule. Assist in data collection and reporting. Perform ASC 842 lease accounting on a monthly basis. Requirements: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Able to communicate with professionals at all levels Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences Experience: Bachelor's degree accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in general ledger and inventory accounting ERP Systems experience NetSuite is a plus Strong understanding of US GAAP Experience with either fashion, consumer product goods or footwear/apparel REF #47046#LI-POST
