Graduate Assistant for Track and FieldUniversity of Dubuque1 PositionsID: VVRzNXEvdHRlN3ZnYVUrPosted On 09/10/2025Refreshed On 04/22/2026Job OverviewThe University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Track and Field with an emphasis on jumps or throws for the 2026-2027 term, with a potential renewal for 2027-2028.The University of Dubuque is a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the American Rivers Conference.Primary Responsibilities:Instruct athletes in jumping or throwing techniques and strategies, etc.Recruitment of prospective student-athletesCoordination of team operations such as travel, camps, and home meetsMonitor eligibility status and promotion of academic progress for student-athletesManage team equipment and apparelParticipate and assist with camps, clinics, exhibitions, and campus activitiesPerform other duties as assigned in support of the University's MissionRequirements:Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' programHigh level of organization and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:Prior coaching experience and/or prior experience as an athleteEffective communication skills; both orally and writtenProficiency in social mediaAll graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. This position is eligible for a stipend.
