United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a Sr. Manager of Information Technology & Security to lead the day-to-day operations of IT systems, service desk support, and cybersecurity operations for the organization.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering reliable, secure technology services while managing help desk and endpoint administration staff. The role balances technical execution, team leadership, strong internal customer support, and operational budget management.Key Areas Of ResponsibilityIT Operations & SupportOversee daily IT operations, ensuring systems and services are reliable and responsiveLead and support the IT service desk, ensuring timely resolution of user issuesManage endpoint lifecycle across Windows and Mac OS environments, including provisioning, updates, and troubleshootingProvide hands-on technical support and escalation as neededSecurity & Systems AdministrationAdminister and support Microsoft 365, endpoint management tools, and security platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender)Execute core cybersecurity practices including endpoint protection, access management, and risk mitigationMaintain system health, backups, and updates across the environmentSupport basic network operations and troubleshootingTeam LeadershipManage help desk and endpoint administration staffSet priorities, assign work, and ensure consistent service deliveryCoach and support team development while fostering a strong customer service mindsetBudget & Billing ManagementManage and track the IT operational budget, ensuring spend aligns with organizational prioritiesReview and process vendor invoices and billing; flag discrepancies and resolve in a timely mannerMonitor subscription and service costs across platforms and contractsSupport budget planning and forecasting for technology needsCoordinate with Finance on billing reconciliation and budget reportingProjects & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in and help lead IT projects and system improvementsContribute to planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiativesProvide regular updates on project progress, system status, and team performanceIdentify opportunities to improve processes, user experience, and system reliabilityVendor & Stakeholder EngagementCoordinate with vendors and service providers for support and solutionsBuild strong working relationships with internal teamsCommunicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholdersOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
