The compensation schedule is based on the collective bargaining agreement.Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician Overview:The Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician is a working member of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician group who provides technical leadership, coordination, and work direction to assigned Aircraft Maintenance Technicians. This role serves as the primary liaison between maintenance personnel, production control, and maintenance leadership while ensuring aircraft maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with FAA regulations and Company procedures.Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lead, direct, and approve the work of assigned Aircraft Maintenance TechniciansAct as the interface between supervisors/managers and assigned group membersCoordinate maintenance activities with Production Control and Maintenance CoordinatorsProvide technical support and guidance to assigned mechanicsCoordinate staffing and overtime needs with managementTrack, update, and communicate task progress and ready timesResearch technical issues and expedite parts availabilityAssign scheduled maintenance tasks and non routine work based on skill, workload, and timelinesParticipate in daily maintenance planning and shift turnover meetingsMonitor maintenance progress to ensure airworthiness and schedule complianceCoordinate aircraft movements, parking, and hangar activitySupport troubleshooting and resolution of aircraft discrepanciesEnsure proper documentation, parts usage, and work sign offMaintain housekeeping standards for hangars, tooling, and equipmentRequired Qualifications:Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to perform all duties of an Aircraft Maintenance TechnicianStrong technical, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work under time critical and safety sensitive conditionsMust have valid driver's licenseMust be able to obtain SIDA badgePreferred Qualifications:2 years of prior experience in a lead or coordinating role2 years Boeing 737 maintenance experience2 years Heavy check or hangar maintenance experienceFamiliarity with maintenance tracking and production control processesPrevious supervisory experienceValid US Passport preferredCompensation:$41.75 USD per hour along with a shift differential and sign-on bonus. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.Classification:Full-time, Non-exemptWorking Location:This position is open in Fort Myers, FL (RSW Airport)Supervisory Responsibility:NoneWork Environment:This job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.Physical Demands:Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
