Zeiss ScanBox ProgrammerLocation: Onsite – Aerospace Manufacturing / QC Clinic Employment Type: Full-Time Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required (ITAR) About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Zeiss ScanBox Programmer to support automated optical inspection within a fast-paced aerospace quality environment. This role is dedicated to the creation, optimization, and long-term management of automated inspection programs for Zeiss ScanBox Series 5/6 systems using structured-light ATOS technology.The position operates within a Quality Control (QC) clinic and serves as a technical authority for ScanBox automation, scripting, and program lifecycle management. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in GOM Inspect Professional / Zeiss Inspect Professional, hands-on ScanBox programming experience, and a strong understanding of GD&T as applied to aerospace inspection. Key Responsibilities Develop, program, and optimize automated inspection routines for Zeiss ScanBox Series 5/6 systems Create, maintain, and expand a structured library of ScanBox measurement programs Perform offline and online programming, including robot path planning and sensor configuration Configure fixtures, alignment strategies, and inspection sequences to support repeatable measurements Apply GD&T principles to inspection plan development and data evaluation Troubleshoot, refine, and continuously improve existing ScanBox programs to support production needs Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve inspection issues and improve measurement workflows Stay current with new releases and capabilities within the Zeiss/GOM software ecosystem Support high-mix, high-precision aerospace inspection requirements in a QC clinic environment Required Qualifications 3+ years of direct experience programming and operating Zeiss ScanBox or GOM ATOS ScanBox systems Advanced proficiency in GOM Inspect Professional / Zeiss Inspect Professional, including scripting and automation Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, MRO/aftermarket, or other high-precision industries Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain complex automated inspection program libraries Comfortable working independently as a technical specialist within a quality organization Preferred Qualifications Experience with manual inspection or traditional CMM systems Familiarity with Calypso or other Zeiss metrology software Exposure to structured-light or optical 3D metrology beyond ScanBox systems Experience in fast-paced production or QC clinic environments Citizenship / Compliance Requirement U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance. Candidates must be able to access and work with export-controlled technical data.
