You own the relationship at the highest level, aligning their full ecommerce operation and marketing investment to their business objectives, ensuring every dollar spent drives profitable, scalable growth.You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, finance, technology, and execution — partnering closely with media, creative, analytics, and ecommerce teams to deliver full-funnel, omnichannel strategies that perform. You will be expected to understand your clients’ businesses better than they do: from their Shopify storefront and Amazon marketplace presence to unit economics, contribution margin, customer lifetime value, and cash flow. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve their entire ecommerce P&L through marketing, merchandising, and technology.This is a role for someone who thrives on intellectual challenge, builds trust through strategic insight, and isn’t afraid to push clients and teams toward better decisions — someone who sees the entire ecommerce ecosystem as their canvas.Key ResponsibilitiesFractional CMO & Ecommerce Growth PartnerAct as the fractional CMO and ecommerce growth strategist for your clients — deeply understand their full P&L, unit economics, pricing architecture, merchandising strategy, product margins, and growth goals to align all marketing and commerce activity with business outcomes.Develop full-funnel, omnichannel growth strategies across paid social, paid search, email, SMS, influencer, affiliate, retail media, and emerging commerce platforms.Build proformas, forecasts, and contribution margin models that guide decision-making, manage risk, and measure success across the entire ecommerce operation.Identify and capitalize on data-driven opportunities to increase revenue, AOV, LTV, and repeat purchase rate — upselling services in alignment with client growth objectives.Guide clients on ecommerce business strategy: subscription and DTC model optimization, marketplace expansion (Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop), and channel diversification.End-to-End Ecommerce MasteryOwn the ecommerce growth roadmap — from site experience and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to checkout flow, product page strategy, and post-purchase retention.Drive customer lifecycle marketing strategy: acquisition, onboarding, retention, win-back, and loyalty — spanning email, SMS, push, and owned channels.Advise on ecommerce merchandising: product catalog structure, pricing strategy, promotional calendars, bundle and upsell tactics, and inventory-aware marketing planning.Integrate retail media and marketplace advertising (Amazon DSP, Sponsored Products, Walmart Connect) into holistic growth strategies alongside paid social and search.Monitor and optimize key ecommerce health metrics: CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC ratio, AOV, repeat purchase rate, churn, ROAS, MER, and contribution margin by channel.AI-Forward, Data-Driven LeadershipLeverage AI-powered tools — measurement platforms, media mix modeling, predictive analytics, and creative automation — to drive efficiency and unlock growth.Identify and implement AI opportunities across creative production, media buying, personalization, and reporting — making Adquadrant and your clients first-movers in the space.Use ecommerce analytics platforms (Northbeam, Triple Whale, GA4, Klaviyo, Yotpo) to build a complete picture of the customer journey and optimize at every stage.Design and oversee incrementality testing frameworks (e.g., geo-testing, lift studies, and holdouts) to determine the true marginal impact of marketing spend across various channels. Master Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) and Media Mix Modeling (MMM), using these tools to advise clients on budget allocation that prioritizes incremental contribution margin over platform-reported ROAS.Client Advocacy & Challenger MindsetLead weekly strategy calls and quarterly business reviews that go beyond reporting — challenging assumptions, presenting clear recommendations, and tying every insight back to ecommerce profitability.Anticipate client needs and proactively present solutions that drive growth, rather than waiting for a brief.Foster long-term partnerships built on a deep understanding of each client’s ecommerce landscape, competitive position, and growth potential.Advocate for both team and client success — celebrating achievements and providing the essential support and tools to win.Cross-Functional OrchestrationPartner closely with internal media, creative, analytics, and ecommerce teams to align execution with strategy and financial targets.Serve as the critical internal-external liaison, ensuring internal strategies map to client needs and deliver exceptional service and mutual success.Ensure deliverables are not just on time, but strategically sound, ecommerce-native, and revenue-accretive.Thought Leadership & Industry InsightStay ahead of ecommerce trends, AI innovation, platform changes, and commerce technology — translating them into actionable strategies clients can act on first.Mentor junior team members, transferring ecommerce expertise and strengthening Adquadrant’s overall client partnership and commerce capabilities.Qualifications7+ years in a client-facing marketing strategy or ecommerce growth role (agency, consulting, brand-side, or DTC).Deep omnichannel marketing expertise — Meta, Google, TikTok, TikTok Shop, search, Amazon, affiliate, email, SMS, and influencer.Hands-on ecommerce platform fluency: Shopify / Shopify Plus, Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, and marketplace management at scale.Proven expertise in CRO, customer lifecycle marketing, and retention strategy — including email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript).Strong financial acumen: comfortable reading a P&L, building proformas, and making decisions based on contribution margin, LTV, CAC, and unit economics.Proven ability to drive measurable ecommerce growth — not just campaign management, but meaningful influence on business outcomes and profitability.Experience with AI-enabled marketing tools (MMM, predictive audiences, creative automation) or a demonstrated passion for leveraging AI to improve ecommerce performance.Proven experience implementing incrementality testing and navigating the complexities of post-iOS14 measurement.Deep familiarity with incrementality-focused tools (e.g., Measured, Haus, or platform-native lift tools) alongside standard analytics like Northbeam, Triple Whale, and GA4.Exceptional executive communication skills — able to distill complex data into compelling narratives for C-suite and founder audiences.Challenger mindset: intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by solving complex ecommerce growth challenges.Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, scenario modeling) and strong familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (Northbeam, Triple Whale, GA4, Klaviyo, Amazon Brand Analytics, etc.).Familiarity with ecommerce tech stacks: Recharge, Yotpo, Gorgias, Postscript, and related commerce platforms is a strong plus.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).Culture & BenefitsOur people come first.
