ACCOUNTANT
Opportunity Snapshot
You will play a crucial role in our organization as you carry out all of our bookkeeping operations. Your mission will be to keep our finances well controlled by maintaining our books and records, and supplying key information to the President.
Our Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years recent accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Familiarity with accounting software, is a plus.
Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
Professional demeanor and positive, upbeat attitude.
More About Your Role
Our accounting and bookkeeping systems are in place and running smoothly, although we're always open to your suggestions to improve processes. Once you have learned the various functions, we'll look to you to establish your own routines for achieving your goals. Your activities will include:
Managing all aspects of bookkeeping.
Ensuring all receivers, purchase orders and invoices are entered into the system and are paid.
Working with vendors to receive and maintain favorable credit terms.
Printing open sales reports, and ensuring open orders are shipped, closed, invoiced and collected.
Maintaining correct inventory on the books and coordinating the monthly inventory count.
Performing general office duties such as filing, records storing, faxing, purchasing accounting supplies and answering phones.
Closing the month, including bank account reconciliation.
Presenting monthly and quarterly financial statements that include ratios and trends.
Working with the company's departments to create and track budget variances.
