Job TitleMUST:4+ years as a backend developer, specifically with java – EXPERT LEVEL HARD CORE JAVA DEVELOPMENT, should be doing java all day every dayBachelors in computer scienceGreat communicationExperience building systems that handle high throughput and low latency in production environments (10k+ msgs/sec, low-millisecond latencies).Strong Java proficiency, including solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, JVM behavior, and performance optimization.Has been a senior/lead or principal developer (eventually will mentor backend devs) and comfortable with being the main backend developer currently on the team (ability to understand architecture while being a strong developer)/ Aspirations to grow into a director roleExpert in Java development (back end) Understands multi threadingASK EVERYONE: What is an int vs long- when use one vs the other?Strong experience with Unit testing with j unitEither comes from a small team within a large company, or comes from a small start upExperience in the cloud with one of these: AWS, Azure,or GCP, (they use AWS)Experience with at least one type of SQL relational database (They use Postgres which is common for java)do not want someone from a bootcamp, wants CS degreePLUS:FIX experienceExperience with derivative contracts (futures, options) and financial markets is highly desirable.strong experience developing Rest API'smust understand how Kubernetes or containerized applications work (microservices)Extensive experience in relational databases (Postgres)-Expert with spring boot developmentFintechWebsocket experience, build out api's for the front end of the platformExperience with rabbit mq, or other messaging platformsStart upsUsed Postman for testingAbility to write PostgreSQL queries manually
