The Opportunity The ideal Accounting Specialist is a solid communicator, problem solver and very competent with QuickBooks. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, payroll, invoicing, A/P, and reconciliation, and performing general accounting functions, as required. Our Compensation and Benefits show how much we value our team: $34-$38 per hour, depending on experience Full time hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (This is an in-office position) Medical - Generous company contribution towards medical benefits for employees. 401K with company match Paid Holidays/Vacation/ Paid Sick Leave Job Duties: Receive and enter customer orders into QuickBooks Create customer invoices (Approximately 200 per month) Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records across related businesses Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance Accounts receivable; collect customer payments, review the accounts receivable aging for outstanding receivables, follow up with customers on late payments Bank reconciliations for depository accounts Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed Inventory tracking and reconciliation Assist with eCommerce store including monitoring and receiving orders, printing out packing slips and shipping labels for the Warehouse Manager Track raw goods cost accounting General ledger maintenance Process payroll bi-weekly through Gusto software Administration of quarterly business and payroll Prepare monthly financial statements Maintain required business documents Prepare annual 1099’s Assistance with the annual budget and audit process Maintain financial document retention files New vendor setup and maintenance Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies Deposit and cash reports Communicate with customers and vendors Education / Experience Requirements: QuickBooks Enterprise Experience Strongly Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5+ years of applicable experience in a similar role preferred Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience) Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Highly organized and detail oriented Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority Proven ability to maintain confidentiality Strong organizational skills **NO PHONE CALLS OR WALK-INS PLEASE** SECTqum0b5
