Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (Identity & Security Focus)Job Type: ContractLocation: Cayce, SC (Onsite – statewide travel required)OverviewWe are looking for a Network Engineer with a focus on identity and security to support and improve a large enterprise network environment.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving complex network issues, and supporting secure and reliable connectivity across multiple locations.You will play a key role in maintaining network performance, improving security, and supporting modern infrastructure technologies.What You’ll Be DoingSupport enterprise network and identity systems including SD-WAN, secure authentication, and certificate-based security (PKI)Troubleshoot and resolve network, connectivity, and identity access issuesSupport Windows systems and mobile device connectivity (including Apple devices)Assist with installing, configuring, and upgrading network equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points)Perform network hardware and software maintenanceCreate and maintain network documentation such as diagrams and configuration recordsManage support tickets related to network performance and access issuesWork with infrastructure and security teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutionsSupport testing and rollout of new network technologiesProvide clear updates on tasks and project progressWork EnvironmentFully onsite role with travel required across the stateMust be comfortable performing physical network work (lifting up to 40 lbs, using ladders, working in data closets)May require occasional after-hours work depending on project needsStrong communication skills required for both technical and non-technical audiencesRequired Skills (In Order of Importance)3+ years of experience in enterprise network support or LAN administration3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, or secure authentication systems3+ years of experience troubleshooting network issues on Windows and mobile devices3+ years of experience creating and maintaining network documentation and diagramsPreferred SkillsIndustry certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft (please indicate active or inactive status)Cisco Networking Academy or equivalent training/bootcamp experienceAdditional RequirementsAbility to perform hands-on network work in field environmentsValid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide (state or personal vehicle may be used)Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively with both technical teams and end usersEducationAssociate degree in a related field, orHigh school diploma with equivalent relevant work experience
