Java Developer

12-month Contract-to-HireLocation: Remote (EST/CST preferred)Pay: $55 - 60/hr (compensation can vary depending on experience)Seeking an experience Java Developer to join a collaborative software development team to create, maintain, and support enterprise applications. You will work alongside a team of developers to design, enhance, and maintain web services and applications using Java on a Linux platform with SQL Server and XML data.Most Important ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java on linux platforms.Build and support REST and SOAP-based web services.Develop solutions on Linux-based environments while integrating with SQL Server and XML data.Create, consume, and transform XML-based data for application integrations. Develop efficient data access solutions utilizing Hibernate and relational databases.Configure and manage project builds using Maven and Spring Framework.What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:5+ years of Software Development/programming skills in JAVA.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. Experience with Maven and Spring frameworks. Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java.Experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse, or VS Code IDE using GitHub repositories. Experience with SQL Server, Linux DB2, and Hibernate for data access. Experience developing applications that consume and process XML data.Experience building, testing, and supporting TEST and/or SOAP web services.Experience using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger for API testing.Knowledge and experience in Agular, CSS, JavaScript, SML Spy preferred.Domain experience in an insurance or Financial Institute environment preferred.
