This position functions as a key member of SHP’s Engagement Department and empowers our volunteers to make change in their states and communities. The Manager, Organizing (West Lead) will report to the Senior Manager, Organizing.This full-time, remote position with a 30% travel requirement.Job Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)Leading support of recruitment, organizing, and mobilization in West Region statesBuilding tailored long-term plans for growth, participation, and retention in priority statesImplementing core organizational campaigns in the West Region based on the state's need and supporter interestMobilizingsupporters in West Region on organizational calls to actionExecuting and participatingin in-person events, phone banking, text banking of supporters and prospective supporters in campaigns and calls to actionDeveloping ambassador volunteers in West Region states who will support recruitment and engagement in their statesStaying tuned in to local, state, and regional policy, political, and cultural issues to inform our strategy, our relationship management, and stewardship in the West RegionTracking and inputting data in Salesforce and EveryAction databases to track ongoing base building and campaign progress towards goalsTravel to states and trainings, 30% of timeDesired Skills and Experience3+ years of organizing or volunteer management experienceexperience working in the Midwest a plusPassion for meeting new people and engaging people in change Experienced speaker with ability to host training sessions for varied audience sizes and demographicsHighly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Commitment to Sandy Hook Promise’s mission and goals  Demonstrated commitment to integrating race, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles  Benefits and Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.(SHP follows a strict internal rubric to help guide salary placement and ensure equitable pay amongst new hires and current staff.
