Machine Operator
This position uses hand and other grinding equipment to grind and smooth areas of metal parts in order to: remove defects, sharp edges, scratches, and other excess material.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery, including polishing and grinding equipment, to grind any metal workpieces to their prescribed specifications to ensure high-quality products.
Finish products by hand using hand tools to ensure the surfaces are filed or finished accordingly.
Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces.
Keep all equipment running by inspecting and performing basic maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, and scheduling repairs when needed.
Perform basic repairs, including replacing parts when they are worn down or broken, within the scope of expected knowledge and expertise.
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Attention to detail
Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass.
Flexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as some OT and weekend work.
Strong team player and reliable.
High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Understanding of common weld defects and their causes
Work in fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
