DescriptionCamp Counselor - Summer 2026Saint Mary's Summer Programs is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who enjoy working with children ages 6-14 in a full-day, four-week camp program. Programs offer a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. For the SMS Day Camp, this includes working in a specific camp, such as art, sports, dance, CSI, STEM, and many others. Additional skills include proactivity in addressing situations, a strong work ethic, and even-temperedness.Qualified candidates are caring and compassionate, able to engage and manage groups of children in various settings, and to communicate effectively both verbally and by example.Duties & QualificationsCounselors must be at least 16 years of age by June 1, 2026. Preference is given to candidates who can work the full four-week camp session (June 15 - 19, 22-26- July 6-10, 13-17) and to those who can commit to at least two weeks of work during the summer. The hours are 8:15 am - 3:30 pm for each camp.Essential Functions:Supervise and be responsible for a group of campers at all timesEnsure the classroom where their group of campers meets is kept clean and in orderActively work with, play, and engage with campersMaintain a high level of energy throughout the camp dayAssist with or lead games and activities with campersOther duties as assigned by your supervisor
