Formulation Lab Technician - Personal Care

Job DescriptionFormulation of all types of Hair, Skin & Sun Care products including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, beach products, sticks, sprays and balms.Maintain, organize and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessaryFollow a set formula and procedure provided by senior chemists to create finished formulations.Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility.Be able to lift 50 lbs, and work at bench for 8 hours per dayJob RequirementsBS degree in Biology, Chemistry engineering or related field required.Be currently enrolled in a matriculated program geared towards a four-year science degree.Related field with 0-1 years of formulation experience.Must have good problem solving, decision making, and organization skills and ability to work well in a team environmentAbility to maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document.Understanding of emulsion, polymers and surfactant technology, and general cosmetic technology as well as formulation techniques.Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures. Specifically, pH meter, Brookfield Viscometer, stand mixers, and Silvers on homogenizersShift Time Zone: Monday - Friday hours / 8 hours per day/week
