Overview
Description: Please join us as a Responsible Product Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer , where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.
Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton CO. You will be working a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
Role and Responsibilities
Oversee the design, development, test and integration of digital electronics systems.
Work with Digital and Analog Talent Center as a Responsible Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) .
Ensure the delivered product meets all customer specifications and needs.
Role Context
Position is contingent upon program award expected April 2026.
Key Activities
Digital products include digital processing, software defined radio, command & data handling, controls & avionics, and other digital systems used on Lockheed Martin space or missile systems.
Key skills include experience in FPGA and/or ASIC design, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, Embedded Software, FPGA Gateware, Systems Engineering/Requirements Management, Systems Integration & Test, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Electrical Engineering.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a Responsible Engineer / Product Lead role for analog and digital electronics.
5+ years of professional experience.
While no clearance is needed to start, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.
Desirable Skills
Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Experience leading technical teams.
Experience developing products for space or missile applications.
Experience working with Subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers.
Familiarity with other engineering processes, disciplines and Subject Matter Experts.
Familiarity with failure investigation processes (root cause analysis, Failure Review Boards, etc.).
Experience supporting technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
Experience in different phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle.
Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
Proficiency in presentations and written communications.
Security and Compliance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week; some schedules may be condensed to provide additional time away from the office.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range is provided with location-specific adjustments; salary information is a guideline and reflects various factors including experience and market conditions.
