From design and manufacturing to on-site installation, our highly skilled team never stops striving to improve.SUMMARY:As a Product Line Engineer, you will serve as the critical technical bridge between Sales, Production, and Research and Development. You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity to solve complex technical challenges while directly impacting the business's bottom line through cost optimization, new product commercialization, and strategic sales support. You will ensure that customer requirements are aligned with our manufacturing capabilities to deliver high-quality solutions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serve as the primary technical liaison between Sales, Production, and Engineering to ensure customer requirements align with manufacturing capabilities.Provide technical analysis, feasibility evaluations, and cost assessments to support accurate product quoting and strategic business planning.Collaborate with Sales and customers to investigate product issues and deliver data-driven technical solutions.Support new product commercialization by defining technical requirements, evaluating manufacturability, and assisting with product scale-up.Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product performance.Review manufacturing variances, determine root causes, and implement process improvements to control variability and improve operational performance.Maintain a strong understanding of product cost structures and how engineering, material, and process decisions affect margins, pricing, and overall business performance.Manage cross-functional technical projects that support operational, product development, and business objectives.Review product specifications, print requirements, and order requests to ensure alignment with manufacturing processes and capabilities.Analyze non-conformance reports (NCRs) and production deviations to identify trends and implement corrective actions.Maintain and update technical documentation including product specifications, manufacturing standards, and technical data sheets.Develop and maintain technical tools, calculators, and digital workflows that improve costing accuracy and process efficiency.Drive product and material standardization efforts to improve manufacturing consistency and reduce operational complexity.Improve accessibility and delivery of technical information for both internal teams and customers through digital tools and documentation.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role in a manufacturing environment.Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or root cause analysis methodologies.Experience supporting product design, product changes, or new product commercialization in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with ERP systems, product configuration, or manufacturing data analysis is preferred.Preferred: Experience leading initiatives both big and small with a diverse, cross-functional team.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to manage large or complex projectsBusiness Acumen and Financial AwarenessLeadershipAbility to translate complex technical information into clear, practical guidance for operations, sales teams, and customers.Attention to detailSelf-directed team playerHand-on problem solverTechnical proficiency and knowledge relevant to the positionProficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staffTravel may be necessary, based on positionUS Citizenship may be required, based on position.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.
