Scheduling Manager

Position Overview:My client is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduling Manager to lead and oversee all project scheduling activities for their Dallas and Houston operations. This role is critical to ensuring projects are planned, executed, and delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in construction scheduling methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple project teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and manage detailed construction schedules for multiple projects using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to establish project timelines and sequencing.Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify scheduling requirements and constraints.Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.Conduct regular schedule updates, progress reporting, and variance analysis.Lead schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status to internal and external stakeholders.Support bid and preconstruction teams with schedule development, logistics planning, and duration analysis.Evaluate resource allocation and productivity to optimize project efficiency.Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.Mentor and support junior scheduling staff as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5-7 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably with a general contractor.Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project controls.Experience working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Professional certifications such as PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or CPM.Experience with Lean construction principles or advanced scheduling techniques.Familiarity with BIM integration and 4D scheduling.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary range of $160k-$180k based on experiencePerformance-based bonusesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunities
