In this entry-level position, you'll receive hands-on training and guidance as you learn how to provide meaningful social services and case management. You'll start with simpler tasks while you build your skills, and as your knowledge grows, you'll have more independence and opportunities to make decisions. Throughout your work, you'll be supported by experienced supervisors who help you learn through regular meetings, training sessions, and feedback. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; orA bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
