IT Executive Support Engineer 4

This position will be based full-time in our Houston, TX office located in CityCentre. This role will support NuScale's Executive team and will be required to travel as needed. Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate prior experience supporting senior level personnel within a corporate environment.POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Helpdesk Supervisor, the IT Executive Support – level 4 position works directly with company executives across all departments to ensure the smooth operation of IT related equipment and software. This position is expected to follow through on support requests, changes, and projects as necessary to ensure customer support standards are met or exceeded. This position is an escalation point for complex technical issues and will take ownership of incidents, problems, projects, and systems. While not directly responsible for managing staff, this role will act as a technical team lead. This position does require occasional travel.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide technical assistance, serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, and formally train executives in the use and operation of their computerPerform hardware maintenance; coordinates repairs and installation of equipment with vendors as necessaryTests, provides feedback, and implements new software and hardware needed to satisfy business requirementsTracks program area problems and monitors system for efficiency and effectiveness; recommends and implements procedural changes in assigned area; performs systems analysisInstalls, upgrades, and configures systems in both on-premises and cloud configurations as appropriateLeads assigned projects and coordinates with other parties as needed to drive completionCoordinates support activities within the group. Leads consensus by involving all stakeholders, facilitating their understanding of differences, agreeing on requirements and constraints, and developing the best solution.Safety Culture: Adheres to the NuScale Safety culture and is expected to model safe behavior and influence peers to meet high standards.Quality Assurance: Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1.Minimum Skills, Qualifications And AbilitiesEducation/Certification: Must meet one of the below criteria:A bachelor degree and 6+ years of full-time progressive IT experience. orAssociates degree and 8+ years of full-time progressive IT experience. or10+ years of progressive full-time IT experience in lieu of formal degreeExperience: A minimum of 6-10 years of full-time working experience is required (see above for minimum work + education required). Must have significant experience supporting executive level and C-Suite staff. Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally using common forms of transportation.
