Job Description Project Manager – Multifamily Capital & General Contractor ProjectsPOSITION SUMMARYThe Project Manager at Complete Apartment Care (CAC) is responsible for managing multifamily capital improvement and general contractor–level projects from preconstruction through final completion. This role owns the full project lifecycle, including estimating support, scope development, project planning, execution, client communication, and closeout.This position manages complex, multi-scope projects that go beyond routine maintenance, ensuring work is properly scoped, accurately priced, and executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Project Manager plays a critical role in aligning client expectations, operational execution, and financial performance across each project.This role focuses on capital projects and GC-level work and does not manage small work orders or minor trade services such as basic painting or light maintenance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management & ExecutionManage assigned multifamily capital and GC-level projects from award through completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plansCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality deliveryConduct project kickoffs, site meetings, progress updates, and closeout reviewsMonitor job costs, labor usage, materials, and subcontractor performance to protect marginsIdentify risks early and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays or cost overrunsEnsure all work is executed in compliance with safety standards, scope requirements, and CAC quality expectationsEstimating & Preconstruction SupportPerform property walkthroughs to collect measurements, assess site conditions, and validate constructabilityDevelop accurate scopes of work and pricing for multifamily capital and GC-level projectsReview drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope gaps, risks, and assumptionsManage RFIs, scope clarifications, and pricing adjustments during preconstruction and executionClearly document inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and constraints to minimize change ordersClient & Internal CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycleCommunicate progress, schedule changes, and scope impacts clearly and professionallyPartner closely with Account Managers, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless project handoff and executionSupport smooth transitions from estimating to operations by clearly communicating scope intent, risks, and execution strategyPerformance & AccountabilityManage a defined volume of active projects while meeting schedule, quality, and financial KPIsEnsure all projects align with CAC's pricing standards, margin expectations, and operational capacityMaintain accurate documentation, reporting, and project records within company systems COMPETENCIES & SKILLSStrong understanding of multifamily and general contractor–level construction methodsProven ability to manage projects from start to finishStrong grasp of cost controls, scheduling, and construction sequencingAbility to clearly explain scopes, pricing, and project drivers to clients and internal teamsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCollaborative mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional teamsProficient in Excel and construction or project management software EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferredEquivalent experience considered in lieu of formal educationExperience2-3+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or preconstruction rolesExperience managing multifamily, commercial, or GC-level construction projects requiredAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering documents COMPENSATION & BENEFITSBase Salary: $70,000Commission: 1% on client-accepted projectsOn-Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000+ based on performanceFull-time, Monday–Friday, onsite positionBenefits include:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offProfessional development opportunities WHY JOIN CACAt Complete Apartment Care, you'll be part of a growing company where your leadership directly impacts project success, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
