Certified Medical Assistant Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant. The position serves as clinical and administrative support for the employee health clinician and performs delegated medical assistant tasks under the supervision of the EHWC Site Nurse Practitioner (NP) or the EHMG Practice Administrator.Compensation: Commensurate for experience between $20.00 - $24.00 hourly.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am 4:30pmWhat We Offer:A culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging, which builds on our mission, vision and valuesMedical, dental and vision packages, including an annual reimbursement for qualified wellness expenses, personal health coaching and telemedicine optionsPTO Plans, PLUS company paid volunteer hours for eligible team members, in accordance with applicable state law401k for all team members 18 and over with a company 3% matchOnsite medical centers, providing wellness visits and sick care for all team members over 18 years of age30% discount on food and drinks at on-site dining venues, plus additional healthy choice meal options at discounted pricesEducation assistance, certification reimbursement and access to over 6,000 courses through our online learning library, designed to enhance your current skills and build new onesHow You Will Make An Impact:Maintain schedules for employee visits and accurate information in employee medical recordsPerform front desk receptionist responsibilities to include data entry, assisting customers as they enter Employee Health, filing and retrieving medical charts, and answering phonesEnsure the accuracy of registration, insurance verification, and coding, and charge entry into the electronic health recordPrepare employee for examination by the healthcare provider to include the following: recording vital signs including weight and BMI and preparing a patient (e.g., assisting with placing on a gown or exposing an affected area of the body for examination)Perform blood draws and tests, vaccinations, and EKGs under the direction of the supervising clinicianPrepare reports for the Program Coordinator, and Medical Director, and Regional NP as requested regarding monthly utilization, co-pay, time in the clinic, and satisfaction summaries, as requestedEnsure lab compliance and with all required quality assurance measures by recording all required data in lab compliance binder including but not limited to: daily temperature log for refrigerators, documentation of all point of care and send out labs performed for each date, performance and documentation of lab controls for all point of care testsWhat You Will Need:Knowledge of HIPAAMicrosoft Office (Word, Outlook and basic Excel)Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and valid certificationCPR certification is requiredCurrent MA Certification is requiredPhlebotomy certificate preferredPlease note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable.
