Employment Type:Part timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center/Mount Sinai Rehabilitation/Behavioral Health the Assistant Nurse Manager—internally classified as Nursing Supervisor – NL I—supports the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the behavioral health setting.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.What you will do: Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive nursing environment.Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput.Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development.Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.Lead by example, fostering respectful communication, collaboration, and professional growth.Support evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Drive effective patient care outcomes and operational performance through transformational leadership.Minimum Qualifications:Required:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).Valid RN license in Connecticut.Preferred:The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Behavioral Health nursing.1 or more years of management or supervisory experience, such as charge nurse.BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).Position Highlights:Part Time 24 Hrs/3-8 Hour ShiftsRotating ScheduleMinistry/Facility InformationMount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services include a full range of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs for all ages.
