Quality Control Technician
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring telecommunications construction and installation work meets company standards, customer specifications, and industry quality requirements. This role supports field operations by performing inspections, documenting findings, and assisting project teams in maintaining compliance throughout all phases of installation and construction.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct quality inspections during telecommunications installation and construction activities to verify adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standardsPerform final acceptance inspections as required by customers or project managementIdentify quality deficiencies and communicate findings to appropriate teams for corrective actionTrack and follow up on non-compliance issues until resolution is completedVerify required testing is performed and accurately document inspection resultsMaintain inspection records, reports, and supporting documentationSupport project milestones and operational activities as directed by managementTravel to job sites and work overtime, on-call schedules, or after-hours assignments as requiredPerform duties in varying outdoor environments and weather conditionsRequired QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageAuthorized to work in the United StatesValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordMinimum one (1) year of relevant field, construction, or telecommunications experienceAbility to work independently and communicate effectively with field teams and managementPreferred QualificationsQuality Control or inspection experience in telecommunications or utility constructionAssociate degree in telecommunications, construction management, engineering technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Working knowledge of telecommunications construction practices and standardsFamiliarity with customer installation standards, documentation, and testing proceduresPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and operate a vehicleAbility to work independently in remote field locationsUse of computers, tablets, and inspection tools dailyOccasionally work at heights and climb laddersAbility to lift and carry up to 55 pounds as neededExposure to outdoor jobsite conditions and varying weather environments
