Design Engineer - Civil

Description The OpportunityUlteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for a Civil Design Engineer- Solar role supporting utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. The Design Engineer is responsible for the design of transportation projects including responsibilities such as reviewing and developing plans, specifications, and observation reports to see that they are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound engineering practice.What You'll DoProvide technically expertise in the resolution of design problemsPerform field investigations or observationsCoordinate specific design aspects of a project requiring the ability to plan, schedule, conduct and communicate work with the teamServe as an assistant construction project team member with assigned responsibility for the administration of construction engineering projects with the potential for travel during construction season.CDOT, ACI or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferredExcellent verbal/written communicationsExcellent time management skillsSuperior interpersonal and organizational skillsWhat We Expect from YouBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar field requiredEIT certification required and the ability to obtain PE registration within 1 year preferredMinimum of 2 years of engineering experience is preferredUnderstanding of municipal design including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main design projects preferredProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), additional software knowledge depending on specializationProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferredExcellent verbal/written communicationsExcellent time management skillsSuperior interpersonal and organizational skillsDemonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.Must have permanent authorization to work in the USWhat You Can Expect from UlteigFor 75 years, we've built a culture focused on people - both our clients and our employees.
