Director of Safety

Safety ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee all safety-related initiatives across the organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong safety culture while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role supporting a large hourly workforce.Fully onsiteMondayFriday, standard business hoursIndividual contributor (no direct reports)Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirementsPromote and enforce safety standards across all levels of the organizationConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazardsLead safety training initiatives, including onboarding, ongoing education, and emergency response proceduresInvestigate workplace incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actionsMaintain accurate safety records and track key performance metricsPartner with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety practicesEnsure proper maintenance, inspection, and safe operation of equipment and workplace environmentsMonitor compliance with all applicable safety laws and regulationsBachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field (preferred)Minimum of 5+ years of experience in safety management or a related roleExperience supporting a large hourly workforceStrong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards (federal, state, and local)Experience conducting accident investigations and writing detailed reportsProficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systemsAbility to pass background checks and drug screeningsProfessional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, CPR)
