This role includes conducting thorough pre-operative assessments, verifying medical histories and consents, initiating IV access, administering medications, completing pre-surgical checklists, and ensuring patient readiness for surgery. The Pre-Op RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to promote patient safety, optimize clinical outcomes, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
