Program manager with Data & AnalyticsStart Date: ASAPTravel Expectations: No more than once per monthDuration: 6 monthsJob Summary:The Data & Analytics Self-Service Enablement Specialist is the bridge between Hackensack Meridian Health’s enterprise reporting platforms and the clinical, operational, and administrative end users who depend on them. The role exists to make self-service reporting real: to move the organization away from ad hoc, “show up and click around” demonstrations and toward a structured, repeatable enablement program grounded in documented, role-based reporting guidance.This person is equally fluent in Epic’s self-service reporting tools and in Looker on Google BigQuery, and can create the resources, curriculum, and reference materials that let end users, and the broader Data & Analytics team, get value from both. They work hand in hand with the analytics translators so that every stakeholder engagement is planned, guided by defined reporting expectations, and tied to a curriculum rather than improvised in the moment.This is a content-creation and enablement role, not a pure instructional-design role. The emphasis is on practical, platform-specific reporting knowledge plus the ability to teach it and document it for reuse.Essential Job Functions:Build and own a self-service training curriculum that spans Epic self-service reporting tools and Looker, replacing unstructured one-off demos with a repeatable, role-aligned program that has a clear plan, agenda, and learning objectives for each session.Deliver white-glove training — one-on-one and small-group — to end users across clinical, operational, and administrative domains, meeting users at their level and tied to the work they actually do.Create reusable enablement resources (quick-reference guides, role-based reporting playbooks, onboarding materials, and curriculum content) designed to be picked up and delivered by the rest of the D&A team, so enablement knowledge is spread across the team rather than concentrated in a single resource.Partner with the analytics translators to define and document role-based reporting guidelines, establishing what “good” reporting looks like for each role and domain so that user sessions are driven by pre-defined guidance — not by guessing what might land.Serve as a platform translator for end users — helping them understand which tool (Epic self-service vs. Looker) fits a given reporting need and how to move confidently between them.Support role-based and domain-based access initiatives, documenting which roles should see which dashboards and reporting content, in partnership with the Looker technical lead and the access workstream owner.Contribute to the Insights catalog and related documentation/metadata in coordination with the existing catalog owner, ensuring enablement materials stay aligned to the catalog.Maintain an enablement content backlog and roadmap, iterating on materials based on user feedback and adoption.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related business fieldsMinimum of 6 years of experience in IT training with at least 4 years in a healthcare delivery settingMinimum of 2 years of experience working directly with clinicians and healthcare professionalsDemonstrated hands-on experience with Epic reporting and self-service tools (e.g., SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Cogito/Caboodle-backed dashboards) in a healthcare setting.Working (“running”) knowledge of Looker — or a comparable enterprise BI / data-warehouse platform (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE) — sufficient to build user-facing reporting guidance on top of it.Demonstrated teaching, training, or adult-education experience, ideally in a technical or healthcare analytics context, with the ability to structure a curriculum.Proven ability to author clear, professional enablement documentation and training materials from scratch.Strong stakeholder-facing communication skills, including the ability to translate technical reporting concepts for non-technical clinical and operational audiences.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platformsEducation, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:Experience working in a Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery-backed analytics environment.Familiarity with Agile delivery (squads, sprints) and with analytics translator / requirements-gathering workflows.Experience designing or supporting role-based or domain-based reporting access models.Licenses and Certifications Required:Epic Cogito and/or Caboodle certification(s)
