Network Systems Administrator

Job SummaryThe Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, securing, and supporting the IT infrastructure of our aerospace and industrial manufacturing organization operating in a high-mix, mid-volume environment. This role ensures reliable operation of enterprise systems, shop-floor technologies, and engineering platforms while maintaining strict compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and cybersecurity requirements, (NIST, CMMC 2, etc.).Key Responsibilities• Maintain and support on-premises and cloud-based servers, networks, and infrastructure• Provide IT support to engineering, quality, manufacturing, and administrative users• Support aerospace manufacturing systems including ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, APQP, and shop-floor PCs• Ensure high availability of systems critical to production, inspection, and traceability• Administer user accounts, access controls, and permissions in accordance with ITAR and cybersecurity policies• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls to protect controlled technical data (CTD)• Monitor system performance, backups, logging, and security alerts• Troubleshoot network, server, and endpoint issues impacting production and quality operations• Maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, and asset inventories to support audits• Coordinate with vendors, MSPs, and machine/software suppliers for system support• Support system upgrades, patching, and change management with minimal production disruption• Assist with disaster recovery planning, backup testing, and business continuity efforts• Manage on-site security camera systems, door access badges and compliance with associated DFARS regulations• Support document control systems to meet ITAR, Company and other legislative requirements• Supports the appropriate level of inventories of equipment and supplies for IT supportEducational Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred• Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and aerospace manufacturing experience will be consideredRequired Experience• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, network administration, or IT support• Experience supporting IT environments in aerospace or regulated manufacturing• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and network infrastructure• Experience supporting high-mix, mid-volume manufacturing operationsSkills & Competencies• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)• Experience supporting ERP, MES, QMS, APQP and PLM systems in aerospace manufacturing• Knowledge of AS9100 documentation, traceability, and audit requirements as they relate to IT systems• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including access control, data segregation, and endpoint protection• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in time-sensitive production environments• Strong documentation skills for audit and compliance support• Clear communication skills for working with engineers, quality teams, and shop-floor personnelPreferred Qualifications• Experience working in ITAR-regulated environments• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, or other defense-related cybersecurity standards• Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco)• Experience supporting CNC machines, CMMs, FARO arms, or networked inspection equipment• Experience supporting AS9100 audits and customer auditsWorking Conditions• Office, server room, and manufacturing floor environments• Exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment• On-call or after-hours support may be required to support production schedulesPhysical Requirements• Ability to sit, stand, and move between work areas for extended periods• Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 40 lbs)• Ability to bend, reach, or access equipment in production and inspection areasCompliance & Other Requirements• Adherence to AS9100, ITAR, and company cybersecurity policies• Compliance with export control regulations and controlled technical data handling requirements• Ability to support internal, customer, and regulatory audits• U.S. Person status may be required due to ITAR restrictions• Ability to handle sensitive engineering, quality, and customer data with strict confidentialityCompensation:Pay range:Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, additional voluntary plansDepartment: Information Technology (#51)• Reporting To: Director of Information Technology• Location: Corona, CA• Employment Type: Full-time• Pay Type: Non-Exempt from Overtime• EEO / Job Group: EEO-3, TechniciansCompany DescriptionThermal Structures, a subsidiary of HEICO, is an industry-leading provider of insulation and composite products, backed by support that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
