Job Description:Job Title:Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) SupervisorLocation: Columbia, MODepartment: Adult Community ServicesEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Description:The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Supervisor is responsible for supervising and providing day-to-day services provided under the PSR program to include clinical needs of clients and meeting all program requirements established by DHM or other governing entities.Position Perks & Benefits:29 Days of PTOEligibility for HRSA Loan Repayment (subject to requirements)Comprehensive benefits package: health, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance & moreCompetitive 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - up to 5% matchCompany-paid basic life insuranceEmergency Medical Leave ProgramFlexible Spending Accounts - healthcare and dependent careHealth & Wellness ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Discount ProgramMileage Reimbursement (when applicable)Essential Job Functions:Continuously monitors premises to insure that all safety and sanitation requirements are being maintained.Insure that all program expectations and curfews are adhered to, and report behaviors which may assist in clinical team.Facilitate PSR education sessions.Performs orientation, education, referral, record keeping functions, and participate in team planning.Plans, organizes and facilitates groups, outings or other activities to accomplish program objectives.Serves as an advocate to the client in the implementation of treatment plan.Leads scheduled staff meetings.Operates the van and/or vehicle for client transportation and business needs.Act as liaison with the RCF on behalf of the client.Responsible for daily supervision of PSR staff, including hiring, terminations, and discipline with the concurrence of the Clinical Supervisor.Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company.Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Executive Team Member, or Chief Executive Officer.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Thorough knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles and techniques as they relate to mental health services.Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.Detailed knowledge of the problems encountered by persons with mental illness in residing in the community and how to access the various community resources available.Considerable knowledge of the methods and modalities as well as the legal requirements and court procedures related to treating mental illnesses and substance abuse.Aptitudes to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program responsibilities.Capability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to produce clear and concise reports.Experience and Education Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing or closely related field;ORHigh School education or equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment history;Supervisory Requirements:Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all team members.Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.Involve, as appropriate, all team members to achieve goals.Effectively communicate to team members any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.Handle difficult team member situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individualChampion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.Reinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.Employment Requirements:Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:CPI for Residential programsPeaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programsCompletion of "Direct Service Expectations" within 30 Days of employment.Achievement of thirty-six (36) hour training requirements within 2 year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1.Growth and Development form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.Privileging and Credentialing form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.Within the first year of employment, receive training on:Signs and symptoms of disability related illnessesWorking with families and caretaker of clients receiving servicesRights, roles, and responsibilities of client and familiesClient self-help skillsIndividual treatment plansBasic principle of assessmentSpecial needs and characteristicsPhilosophy of community support approachSuicide awareness/precautionQuality assuranceInfection controlPhilosophy, values, and objectives of CPRCBehavioral management/crisis interventionIssues/involuntary holdValid Driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record is required.Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van.Physical Requirements:ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
