This role will partner closely with a team of talented managers to support sanitation and custodial operations within the VA healthcare system.Shift AvailabilityMonday – Thursday | 10:00 AM – 8:30 PMTuesday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 8:30 PMLocation: Portland, Oregon - VA Portland Health Care SystemPay Range: $22–25/hour depending on experienceKey Responsibilities (What You Will Do)Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and common areasSweep, mop, vacuum, dust mop, and maintain floors throughout assigned areasEmpty, sanitize, and reline trash receptaclesRestock restroom consumables and sanitation suppliesPerform terminal cleaning of vacant clinic exam roomsClean and disinfect high-touch surfaces using approved hospital-grade disinfectantsFollow infection prevention and healthcare sanitation proceduresProperly use cleaning equipment, microfiber systems, and cleaning chemicalsDisplay wet floor signs and maintain safe work areas at all timesReport spills, hazards, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptlyMaintain professional appearance, attendance, and punctuality standardsSupport operational coverage needs as requiredRequired SkillsPrevious janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, EVS, sanitation, or cleaning experience preferredHospital, healthcare, hotel, airport, warehouse, or commercial cleaning experience is a plusMust be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environmentStrong attendance and reliability requiredMust be able to stand, walk, bend, push carts, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shiftMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds when requiredAbility to follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety standardsMust read, understand, speak, and write English fluentlyHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust be able to pass federal background screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements before starting employmentAdditional InformationFederal contractor position supporting the VA healthcare systemCandidates cannot begin work until onboarding and background adjudication are completedUniforms requiredWeekend and holiday availability may be required based on operational needsHealthcare sanitation and infection prevention training providedSalary is commensurate with experience.Dynamic Integrated Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer which is committed to a diverse workforce and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, gender/sex, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, military/veteran status, citizenship status, the basis of genetic information or any other group protected by Federal or State law or local ordinance.
