Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Supervisor (HVAC / Commercial High-Rise)Location: Miami, FLDuration: 12+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)Shift: 1st Shift Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a large, newly constructed high-rise commercial facility in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for ensuring all building systems operate efficiently and reliably to support uninterrupted daily operations.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who has progressed from a technical background into a supervisory role and has strong experience with commercial building systems, especially HVAC and mechanical equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, and support a team of maintenance techniciansAssign, prioritize, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completionPerform regular facility inspections and address maintenance issues proactivelyDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programsTroubleshoot and repair building systems, including: HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, air systems), Pumps and heat exchangers, Electrical and plumbing systems, Building automation systems (BMS)Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors for repairs and servicesEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a strong safety cultureMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventoryParticipate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency situationsSupport continuous improvement of facility operations and maintenance practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, including supervisory experienceOR a 2-year technical degree with relevant experienceStrong experience working in commercial or high-rise buildingsIn-depth knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsExperience with preventive and corrective maintenance programsFamiliarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) or CMMS platformsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulationsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and make sound decisionsMust be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsValid driver's license requiredPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldEPA Universal Refrigeration CertificationExperience working in mission-critical or large-scale facilitiesBilingual (English/Spanish)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in confined spaces and at heightsAbility to climb ladders and operate maintenance equipment
