Business Development Executive

We foster an inclusive workplace culture where diversity is celebrated and every voice matters.A day in the life:The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for driving new sales growth (approximately 90% of role focus) through lead generation, prospecting, solution development, and closing new business.A secondary component of the role (approximately 10%) includes strategic account management, focused on maintaining executive-level relationships with select key clients, supporting contract renewals, and identifying expansion opportunities.This role works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, value delivery, and long-term client success.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development (~90%)Collaborate in the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives aligned with company growth objectivesWork directly with Executive Leadership and Sales & Marketing teams to develop and execute new business plansAchieve annual regional sales and profit objectivesIdentify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across target marketsDevelop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified prospectsConduct prospecting activities, client meetings, and presentations to demonstrate Harvard’s capabilities and value propositionDevelop and deliver customized sales presentations to prospective clientsMaintain current knowledge of competitors, market conditions, and industry trendsProvide timely and accurate reporting on pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performanceAttend conferences, trade shows, and networking events as requiredAccount Management & Growth (Secondary Focus – 10%)Maintain executive-level relationships with a limited number of strategic or legacy clientsSupport contract renewals and renegotiations for assigned accounts in partnership with operations and leadershipIdentify organic growth and cross-selling opportunities within existing client relationshipsParticipate in quarterly business reviews and revenue discussions with leadership as neededKnowledge and Skill RequirementsMinimum of five (5) years of industry-related sales experienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experienceProven, documented track record of winning new business, including competitive pursuitsStrong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skillsAbility to influence customers and internal stakeholders at all organizational levelsExceptional client-focus and relationship management capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships and collaborate effectivelyPay range and compensation packageBase salary $120,000-$130,000 plus commissionHarvard is offering a competitive salary structure including benefit package with medical, dental, life, and long-term disability (LTD) insurance along with 401K Savings Plan.An Equal Opportunity Employer --- M/F/D/V.
