You'll be joining a fast-moving, cross-functional team focused on delivering smarter, AI-powered experiences for our internal teams and event organizers.As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will architect and develop enterprise-grade web applications using Java and React. You'll also take an active role in leading by example, and helping shape the future of our technical direction.We need collaborative, energetic team members who are capable of becoming experts in RainFocus products, industry best practices and who work well within small, focused teams.This role sits at the heart of some of our most ambitious work: blending AI with intuitive product design to streamline complex configuration tasks and enable more personalized experiences. You'll work closely across-functions to turn AI ideas into working solutions.We're looking for someone who's collaborative, curious, and ready to build things that don't exist yet.Essential Responsibilities:Develop and maintain our core product set with a focus on usability, security, and scalabilityContribute to the design and implementation of our AI agent platform, including LLM integrations and supporting infrastructureCollaborate closely with Product Management and UX to build thoughtful, client-facing experiencesBuild and iterate on advanced prototypes that integrate LLMs, APIs, and retrieval pipelinesImplement full-stack features—from database schema and backend services to frontend components and real-time user interactionsQualifications:Have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience working on full stack code bases and doing anything it takes to solve problems and delight users.Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or other AI-Assisted Engineering tools used to develop software productsExperience working with LLMs, AI agents, or RAG architecturesExperience architecting complex solutions, then projecting your vision and thought process to other developersExperience peer reviewing code while providing feedback and improvementsVery strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Agile Software Development methodologiesExperience in Object-Oriented design and programming.Experience in RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, etc.) including database design and advanced SQLExperience with front-end development using a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.Strong interest in development platforms, Data Engineering, MLOps, AI, CI/CD, infrastructure or making products for technical teamsAble to make effective trade-offs in regards to both engineering and product requirements, while balancing short term and long term needsStrong expertise with backend systems in service-oriented architecturesPreferred Skills:Familiarity with LangChain or other AI Agentic frameworksExperience driving zero-to-one development of key technical capabilitiesStrong problem-solver who can untangle complex systems, find the root cause, and fix issues without duct tape solutions.Creative thinker who spots opportunities for smarter solutions and isn't afraid to pitch bold ideas that actually move the needle.Comfort working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)Experience with Struts2 MVC, Spring FrameworkExperience integrating with 3rd party systems via APIsPrior experience as a team leadPersonal Characteristics:The best candidates for this position will thrive at RainFocus not just because of their technical skills, but because of how they show up.
