As a Senior User Experience Designer within the Operations team, you will help to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for our contact center employees. Success in this role comes from understanding the customer and business needs, strong collaboration with your peers, thoughtful planning and coordination across product development teams, taming complexity for our users, and participating in the full range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs.Job responsibilitiesDevelop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areasParticipate in upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of Experience ResearchersDevelop strong relationships with Sr. Designers, Sr. Content Designers, Sr. Researchers, and Product partners to ensure we think critically about the why, what, and how of project development: Why are we doing this design, what are the problems we need to solve, and how will we do it?Comfortable in fast-moving, productive daily environment: Able to focus and prioritize tasks, lead projects, set standards, cut through and organize ambiguity to achieve results aligned to business prioritiesCollaborate directly with engineering peers, advocating for the user’s perspectiveIdeation and prototyping to explore different options, landing on elegant, and even unexpected, solutions that satisfy requirementsDiagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.Present work, connecting design decisions to desired business impactCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into the product development processes and ensure seamless and customer-centric solutionsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design or similar rolesCan direct self and others in both planning and structuring the work, and executing on expected levels of qualityPrior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineersAdvanced skills in Interaction Design, Visual/UI Design, and Information Architecture; Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and PrototypingAdvanced technical literacy, including an advanced understanding of client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and the components of the technology stack, as well as their impact on user experienceProven ability to develop experiences that meet or exceed the initial proposal of a product or experience, including the development of transformational innovation strategies and the creation of 'north star' representations to drive customer-centric decision-makingFamiliar with system level thinking and designComfortable and confident when presenting work to executivesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and SkillsAdvocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practicesHas led design work on successful digital products, demonstrating user- and human-centered design approachesFamiliar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as React, and mobile UI standards
