Location: Henrico, VADuration: Full Time, DirectShift: Rotating Shift Schedule (12 hours)Pay: Starts at $30.00/Hour and may be higher depending on experience.Job Overview:Individuals will maintain steady and compliant operation of high-tech automated equipment and drive continual improvement through electrical/PLC technology.Work will include electronics, electrical control systems, server and process control, hydraulics/pneumatics, basic mechanical skills, and computer literacy.Job Responsibilities:Maintains and troubleshoots various types of filling and packaging equipmentWork includes the electromechanical aspects of the equipment’s operationMaintains and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers (PLC), operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, servomotors, encodersPerform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair such as starters, fuses, relays, wire blocks, wiring, breakers, etcPerforms preventative maintenance on electrical and safety systemsDiagnoses electrical based discrepancies on equipment with or without the use of electrical schematicsProvides written methods of operation and control of electronic systemsCommunicate problems and solutions in appropriate manner, and takes direction from multiple sourcesMaintains productive working relationships as part of a production teamAble to discern complex electrical drawings and correlate to actual equipment/circuit layoutAble to inspect electrical control systems to trace circuitry or pinpoint potential problem areasResponsible for maintaining validated state of equipment, which directly impacts product qualityOrder correct repair parts for machinesWork with maintenance personnel in troubleshooting effortAdheres strictly to all cGMP’s, PPG’s, regulatory and safety standards and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of products and safety of employeesKeeps working area in a clean and orderly condition according to PPG’s and 5S principlesEnsures that all machine guards, interlocks and other safety devices are properly installed and maintained in good working orderFollows established lockout procedures when working on equipmentWillingness to work overtime as needed independently or in groupsJob Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDVirginia State Journeyman’s card or equivalent educational experienceWorking knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and conceptsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to quality and detailState certified or documented completion of training on NEC (National Electrical Code) preferredCompensation and Benefits:Compensation is commensurate with experience401(k) with 4.5% company match and immediate vesting12 annual paid holidays5 paid sick days2 paid personal daysCompany paid Short Term Disability and Life & AD&D InsuranceBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
