Office Administrative ServicesEmployment ServicesAdministration of Human Resource ProgramsElementary and Secondary SchoolsResidential Intellectual and Developmental Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse FacilitiesCoordinator, Wellness CenterThe Coordinator, Wellness Center is responsible for managing daily operations, programs, and staff of the wellness facility while ensuring excellent service delivery, maintaining equipment and facilities, and coordinating various wellness-related activities and events.Essential Job DutiesManage and maintain accurate administrative documentation, records, and facility reports.Evaluate, develop, and implement processes to enhance programming and service quality.Assist with budget planning, equipment selection, and purchasing.Coordinate facility usage, scheduling, and birthday party rentals.Supervise, train, and schedule student workers including payroll processing.Manage membership and intramural databases, including system training and maintenance.Market and promote wellness center programs, classes, and special events.Provide customer service and resolve patron complaints while enforcing facility policies.Coordinate intramural activities and special campus events.Program and coach group exercise fitness classes.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.Omission of specific statement of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.QualificationsHigh School Diploma requiredBachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience preferredExperience in wellness, fitness, or recreation facility operations preferredExperience in staff supervision and training preferredLicenses/CertificationsAdult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification preferredGroup fitness instructor certification preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detailAbility to develop and implement effective processes and proceduresProficient in database management and scheduling systemsExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to supervise and train staff effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations professionallyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust have a strong work ethic and lead by exampleMust be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the communityDemonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsibleAbility to communicate in a courteous mannerPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Frequently required to remain in a seated position for extended periodsFrequently required to communicate effectively with diverse populationsRegularly performs tasks that involve repetitive wrist and finger movementRegularly operates a computer and other standard office equipmentRegularly required to lift or exert force of 50 pounds or moreOccasionally required to move about the facilityWork EnvironmentThe work environment involves exposure to loud noise from gym equipment, weights, cardio machines, music, and television.
