FLSA Status: Non-ExemptGrade: 5Position SummaryThe Recruiter is responsible for promoting the university to prospective students through various recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, and campus tours, while serving as a primary point of contact for application information and serving as a representative for the university.Essential Job Duties• Travel to college fairs and high schools to engage with prospective students.• Conduct campus and group tours discussing admissions requirements and scholarship opportunities.• Communicate with students, parents, and counselors via multiple platforms.• Assist in planning and executing recruitment events.• Answer inquiries about campus life, requirements, and procedures.• Prepare materials for recruiting events.• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.Omission of specific statement of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree completed or will be completed within 60 days from date of hire• Strong background in higher education recruitment or admissions preferredLicenses/Certifications• Valid driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail• Comprehensive knowledge of university programs, policies, and admission requirements• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and manage multiple priorities effectively• Proficient in using various communication platforms and computer programs• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example • Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible• Ability to communicate in a courteous mannerPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
